Utilizing user defined information, iCAD can select the closest unit(s), based on the address profile and call type, and notifies them automatically.  Unit status alarms notify the operator when a unit doesn't respond in a timely manner, or if they have been on scene too long.  Need to dispatch additional units?  No problem, just select the AutoDispatch feature in a single function key, and it's done!

iCAD is an NFPA 1220 Class 1 System. It uses state of the art technology that allows it to fully function on a single computer, or to run on multiple computers which share notification functions. It includes an advanced data backup system that can be initiated from any workstation and provides total system redundancy to ensure continuous operation. 

Dispatch centers that handle multiple departments, stations or jurisdictions will find iCAD Remote Station an excellent complement to the system. Using direct link or even the Internet, connections can be established with remote locations to provide real-time updates and instant notification. And, when remote connection is not available, updates to remote station databases can be accomplished using portable media and the built-in merge functions.

Extensibility
Many components may be added to extend the capabilities of iCAD and can take advantage of the information stored in it.
